catupgrd.sql script hangs in 10.2.0.4 upgrade

After applying 10.2.0.4 Patchset catupgrd.sql script hangs at the following statement:

execute utl_recomp.recomp_serial('ORDSYS');

alert.log file shows errors like:

ORA-04031: unable to allocate 4096 bytes of shared memory ("java pool","unknown object","joxlod exec hp","SGAClass")
ORA-04031: unable to allocate 4096 bytes of shared memory ("java pool","unknown object","joxs heap","Intern")

As you guess, increasing java_pool_size or implementing Automatic Memory Management with java_pool_size=0 solves this problem.
